Palácio Marquês de Abrantes: EUMIESAWARD Final Shortlist
The Mies van der Rohe Award is the official architecture prize of the European Union. Today it was announced that the project we have been developing over the last few years for the Marquês de Abrantes Palace is in the 40 projects shortlisted as finalists.
It is difficult to list everyone who participated and participates in this project. From our team, from our neighbours, from Sociedade Musical 3 de Agosto, from the people at Lisbon City Council who never let us give up. Being shortlisted already feels like the prize, that we want to share with all of these people but also with all the architectural practices, with which we keep sharing anguishes, uncertainties, and failures and with whom we learn what we know about participation, about the common and about architecture as a public service.
