In 2016, we worked with the Lisbon Pedestrian Accessibility Planning Team to improve pedestrian accessibility in the Zona Oriental and provide “all people with an equal opportunity to use in as direct, immediate, permanent and autonomous manner as possible” the city.

These were  surgical interventions in the city, in Bairro da Flamenga and in Xabregas. At the same time, we developed the model of a "pedestrian-friendly streets", safer and accessible, with projects for Avenida General Roçadas, a structural axis of the city, and Morais Soares Street (unbuilt).

In total, we redesigned 159 other pedestrian crossings and 140 bus stops.

In 2020 we started the project to improve the accessibility of Praça das Flores, with the Parish Council of Misericórdia. This intervention's biggest challenge was to improve and expand the pedestrianised areas that the tree roots had lifted and adapt the pedestrian crossings, without changing the design of the Jardim Fialho de Almeida or the consolidated image of this Lisbon Square.
