[ENG]As architects and city planners we have reached so specialized level of knowledge and theories of urban form, based on cultural/economic/natural factors, settlement patterns, structure, elements, typologies, design and planning. We have now great visualization tools to map our city, massive infrastructure to provide services, ever-growing network systems to connect citizens in between them and abroad. What happens if we use all this tools and knowledge to get back our “right to the city” and start designing from the very first stages with a network thinking and methodologies?

ateliermob - arquitectura, design e urbanismo lda.
[PT] Somos uma plataforma multidisciplinar de desenvolvimento de ideias, investigação e projectos nas áreas da arquitectura, design e urbanismo.
É assim que tudo costuma começar. A partir daí trabalha-se tudo o resto. Só é impossível o que não entusiasma, o que não é criativo, o que se afasta das pessoas.
Desde 2005 temos realizado conferências e temos sido publicados em diferentes latitudes e longitudes. Obtivemos algumas distinções tais como: 1º Prémio no Concurso para o Plano de Pormenor da UP4 na Amareleja [2009]; Projecto seleccionado para o Festival de Arquitecturas Vivas em Montpellier [2009]; 1º Prémio no Concurso para o Novo Cemitério de Moura [2008]; 1º Prémio do Concurso Internacional para a Dinamização das Margens do Rio no Médio Tejo [2007]; Menção Honrosa no Concurso Internacional para o Novo Tribunal de Grande Instância de Paris [2006].
Em 2007 fomos integrados no Top 10 de ateliers emergentes em Portugal, promovido pelo "New Italian Blood". Em 2011 será publicada a nossa primeira monografia.
[ENG] Ateliermob is a multidisciplinary platform which develops projects, ideas and research within architecture, design and urbanism. This is the way it usually starts. From this point, everything is worked out. The impossible is to work on the unexciting, on the uncreative, on what diverges from people needs.
Since 2005 ateliermob has worked on different programs for different parts of the world. It has been invited to lectured in Portugal, Spain, France and Canada and its works has been published around the world.
Ateliermob got distinguished with the 1st Prize in the UP4 master plan in Amareleja [2009]; with the selection to the Festival of Lively Architecture in Montpellier [2009]; the 1st Prize in the New Moura's Cemetery Competition [2008]; the 1st Prize in the Tagus River Banks International Design Competition [2007]; and the honourable mention in the International Ideas Competition for the Paris Courthouse [2006]. In 2007 it was included on the Top 10 of emerging architecture offices in Portugal by the 'New Italian Blood'.
